The Berliner, who was born in 1982, studied textile and surface design at the College of Art in Berlin-Weissensee and in 2009 graduated from Central St. Martins College in London with a Masters Degree in future textiles. During her time as a student, she worked for several different companies including Samsonite in London and p van b Wallpapers in Berlin.
From 2007 to 2009 she worked as a freelancer for The Circus Gbr. Whilst still a student, the textile designer began to experiment with wood and, as a result, developed her latest project „Wooden textiles“. In her project, she brings together two diametric components, wood and textiles and shows that this combination is not only attractive but comfortable too. In their composition, small, geometrically arranged pieces of wood create a flexible surface which can be used as a carpet, tablecloth or integrated into pieces of furniture.
