On the cutting edge of creation
Every season has its creator. This year, MAISON&OBJET, scènes d’intérieur and now! design à vivre will welcome Edouard François, Gilles and Boissier, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
“The Growing Building”, the Tower Flower, Edenbio – today, Edouard François is one of the global figures of green architecture. At the crossroads of urban planning, landscaping and design, the projects developed by his cosmopolitan team are blazing new trails and bringing new perspectives to issues of use, materials, efficiency and ecology. “Man can only live within architecture … that is the only way to be happy” -those words sum up the abundant designer’s radically holistic viewpoint.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec: DESIGNER now! design à vivre 2011
These days, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec need no introduction. Worthy representatives of “made in France” design, they are discreetly yet surely racking up the honors of their peers, as well as the press throughout the world.
From the Closed Bed to the Vegetal Chair, from Algae to the Axor Bouroullec bath collection, from Ligne Roset to Vitra, from Magis to Alessi by way of their research work at the Galerie Kreo, their minimalist designs use simplicity and sensuality to reinvent the codes of daily use for the objects that surround us, shaking up our domestic landscape since the two brothers joined forces over 10 years ago, now.
Gilles and Boissier: DESIGNER scènes d’intérieur 2011
Schooled at the greatest institutions (he at Camondo, she, Penninghen), initiated by the greats (Christian Liaigre, Starck), Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier created their own agency in 2004.The Maison Boulud in Beijing, the Buddakan in New York… quickly, they acquired an international reputation in the worlds of hospitality, restaurants, and luxury. Their powerful, theatrical, narrative style inspires stagings that give the spaces they work with a unique sense of soul.
